Romy and Emer Dacayanan
Evangelization and International Mission

My wife Emer and I have been active members of the Couples for Christ (CFC) community for more than 25 years. We are blessed with 2 sons, Nico (deceased) and Stephen. Stephen is an active SFC NJ member and has transitioned from Kids ministry to youth and now Singles.

We joined CFC upon the invitation of our work boss whom we were not able to refuse. But as I look back, joining that entry program was probably one of the best and most life changing decisions I made with my wife.  My life was never the same again after joining the  Couples  for Christ community.  I would have never imagined I can do  a lot of things as I serve  CFC and the church.

I (with my wife Emer) have served CFC in various ministries and capacities after completing CLP in St Joseph’s Parish, Palanan, Makati City, Philippines.  After being appointed as Household Head in 1995 after moving to the US, I then served in both CFC and family ministries in various capacities – as SFC NJ Coordinator and Regional Coordinator, CFC Area Head for Pennsylvania, Maine and New York, CFC NJ Chapter/Cluster Head, Area Director  for CFC NJ, SOLD NCG member and Regional Coordinator, ANCOP USA Events Manager.

It was just a blessing for me to have served also as CFC Regional Head for NE-B (2013-2014) and then as Regional Head for NE-A (2015-2016) before  being appointed as  a member of the CFC USA National Council starting Jan 2017.

I would have never thought in my wildest dreams prior to joining CFC that I can be given the chance to lead or participate  in many mission CLP’s within and outside of NJ and surrounding states  and serve as lead or member of  a few national conference teams One of my most meaningful involvement in CFC is serving in our work for the poor program. As USA Events coordinator for ANCO P,  it was an awesome experience  to have participated and supported major fundraiser events and other key events of the organization such as the Global Pinoy USA, Springtime events, Ancop Walk, etc.  God is truly good.
